Having always enjoyed science, I decided to study biochemistry at university (Imperial College London) with the aim of pursuing a career in science. I enjoyed working in a lab, but my strengths lie in communicating science, so I went into academic publishing. I took a job as a Commissioning Editor, commissioning and processing the content for scientific journals. It was in this role that I learnt editing skills and how scientific research is published.
After 4 years, I moved into medical communications, which has allowed me to develop my creative skills and to have more input into the materials that I work on. I like focusing on the fine details and adding value to written communications.

Having variety in my work is very important to me; I am glad to be able to work on different accounts and to help to create different types of material in different therapy areas. It鈥檚 great to be able to collaborate with our Creative and Digital teams to produce exciting and attractive materials that will ultimately benefit patients.
